Okay my big whinge for the day. Ask Darren the Energex man who came to read the meters. Though I don't know if he'll ever be the same again.
Around the neighbourhood he travelled property to property, house to house - from infected to uninfected.....and yes, to be fair he did leave the vehicle at the gate as requested by my signs on the gate.....BUT hell he's been to EVERY PROPERTY IN THE NEIGH- BOURHOOD. What sort of biosecurty plan is that???? And they keep telling us to blow our f******g noses, I'm sorry I went into hyperwarp over that one! AND my useful ACD let him up the drive & sat under the back step while he read the meter. AND TO BE FAIR MY SIGNS EVEN KEPT THE JEHOVAH'S OUT THIS WEEK.
Marty of course saw the funny side (WHAT FUNNY SIDE) because my elderly crippled dog Max used to be listed as a dangerous dog (so far from the truth that was.....) But you see Max was smart - he knew a dodgey character when he smelt one. While Bailey (ACD - star of the latest Supercheap Auto catalogue b/c he is such a blokey looking dog) is getting smarter .....looks like he'd eat them for breakfast but not savvy yet....... Smarty Marty reckons they'll amend dangerous dog to dangerous woman of the house that "eats Energex Meter Readers for breakfast!"
AND WHY NOT? How bloody ridiculous! I'm so angry.
Someone is about to get an earful at ENERGEX. I have a day old foal here and another mare trying to foal prematurely and the bloody flu on the doorstep AND that happens.
Even the ambulance last night (Mum fell over and we went to Ippy General for obs for a few hours as she had hit her head) was conscious of biosecurity. Go the ambulance service - so switched on those paramedics!!!! Undervalued and underpaid too, hey Jenny Moncur?
I still can't believe it. And they say its the horse people that are irresponsible. This whole show is a joke.......
